This is a photo of my son up the hill behind the Stable Loft. It’s an easy walk on a good path with panoramic views over the Loch, Schiehallion, Farragon Hill and Ben y Vrackie. There are many other great walks on the doorstep, but this is one of my favourites!

I took this photo from the bottom of the garden at the Stable Loft. Looking over Loch Tummel towards Rannoch and a snow capped Meall a’ Chuallaich.  It’s a great time of year to visit Highland Perthshire. Cold crisp mornings, snowy mountains and roaring log fires.

The night sky here is so beautiful. There is so little light pollution that once your eyes adjust to the dark, you can see billions of stars and the Milky Way. This photo was taken over the Stable Loft at Loch Tummel.  You can even see shooting stars!
