A converted hayloft within a farm steading at Foss Home Farm, on the banks of Loch Tummel, near Pitlochry.
The philosophy
The Stable Loft sits in a converted steading at Foss Home Farm, in it's own field that runs down to the shore of Loch Tummel. A log-burning stove. An open plan kitchen and sitting room. A picture window with an uninterrupted view over the water.
At the bottom of the field, a small private beach to launch your own boat or kayak, a firepit, fishing rights included. Red squirrels and birds at the feeder outside the window. Ospreys and hares, and an array of other wildlife can be observed most days. If you are lucky, a view straight North to see the Aurora Borealis.
A peaceful oasis at the water’s edge, surrounded by nature and scenery, The Stable Loft is the very definition of “getting away from it all”.
The residence
Two comfortable bedrooms. Open plan living.
Enjoy a log-burning stove, full fibre WiFi, outdoor dining area with BBQ, private beach access, fishing rights, and a lochside firepit. The property sleeps up to 4 guests and is dog friendly. Free EV charging and private parking are included.

One double, one twin. A cot, high chair, stair gate and fire guard, ready for younger guests. Quality mattresses and bed linen for a great night’s sleep.

A basket of logs waits by the hearth and a stacked log store to keep you going.

Heated towel rail and ample hot water. Quality towels and bedding supplied.

Oven and hob, air-fryer, fridge-freezer, microwave, dishwasher and a washing machine. Plus a useful range of kitchen accessories.

A small private beach, a firepit, fishing rights, and if you bring a boat or kayak, you can launch from the shore.

The patio is a sheltered sun-trap. A large picnic table with parasol and Weber BBQ provide the ideal spot to watch the Loch and wildlife.

Foss sits a short drive off the A9 at Pitlochry, on the south shore road of Loch Tummel, just beside Loch Tummel Sailing Club.

A boat or a kayak, launched from the shore. Trout and pike fishing in Loch Tummel - we know where they're biting. Enjoy a picnic or BBQ at the waters edge.

There are bird feeders outside which can be viewed from the kitchen windows — we were lucky to spot a spotted woodpecker, green finch, chaffinch, nuthatch, ducks and red squirrel. Jennie and Andy made us feel so welcome. The property is immaculate, everything is accounted for.”
